Its 2009 and seems like it has been the same disussion since 1999 when I first started this site.....
What can we do better to keep freestyle not so much alive but strong where more and more people talking about it......?

| The only way to really be strong is for there to be new material. Obviously, without radio play backing an artist up it will be difficult to gain new fans. And without new material, it will be pretty much impossible for an artist to get radio play. |

|

I believe we should support our favorite freestyle artists by attending their concerts. Luckily, many of them are performing their biggest hits, and we have a chance to relive the memories with them.
By attending these concerts, we are encouraging the artists to keep doing what they're doing. We also have the opportunity to make new connections in the community and build a stronger freestyle community.
Just imagine yourself sitting at a freestyle concert listening to your favorite TKA song being performed live. You look all around you, and many of those people are having the same great experience as you. _________________ http://www.FreestyleDanceParty.com

Most people have never heard of this music.
If they never hear it, they can not get a feel for it.
I know it is hard to get a radio DJ, some club DJ to play them.
The cheapest is to advertise, and play on the internet, like YouTube.
Must find a way to convice the Companys that they can make lots of
money with this music.
Later.
Respect the Blade. |

As a fan and Artist of freestyle music, I think to keep it strong first as fans we need to support the artist. Radio play is not always easy with our music like it was in the early and late 80's. What helps is web site like freestyle mania dot com, nhbfreestyle,Freestyle fm, and Myspace. Its because of these sites our music still is strong and in 2010 can be unstopoable if we all come together.
As and artist its good to come up with new music, not the same old back in the day stuff. Its time for the old school artist to help the new school artist be heard. when I started out Artie And Legit gave me my first break. Now 2009 i am workin with legend Pica and rhoq solid entertainment. you can hear our music at www.myspace.com/str84wardent |
